The JACL Houston is a chapter of the nationally recognized organization of The Japanese American Citizens League (JACL). We are both the oldest and largest Asian American civil rights organization in the United States — founded in 1929. Houston’s Chapter was founded in 1975 and is currently the sole Chapter located in Texas, under the Midwest District Council.

Donations given to our Chapter are classified tax-deductible due to our registration status as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
